I am honored to be the principal at Breakthrough Magnet School North! I have been part of Breakthrough since I started teaching. I was a third and fourth grade multi-age teacher, a special education teacher, and the assistant principal. I attended Providence College in Rhode Island where I majored in elementary and special education and minored in Spanish. At Providence I also learned about the importance of giving back through community service. I am a BRICK because I am caring, responsible, committed to my learning, and enjoy helping others!

I am grateful to be a part of the Breakthrough North community! I have spent my whole career in Hartford, starting at Betances where I taught kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. I also worked as the Literacy Curriculum Specialist, supporting literacy across the district, and was the Assistant Principal at West Middle Community School prior to coming to Breakthrough. I attended Western CT for my undergrad in Elementary Education and Math, Central CT for my Masters in Reading, and UConn for my 6th year in Administration. I am passionate about reading and am a BRICK because I am responsible, a hard-worker, and a problem-solver!
