Born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, I am a proud product of Hartford schools and deeply committed to the success of our students and community. My educational journey spans Hartford Public, Hartford Private and West Hartford schools, culminating in my graduation from Hartford Public High School in 2006. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (2010) and Master of Education in Early Childhood Education (2014) from the University of Hartford and later obtained a Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University (2022).
Education and service run deep in my family—both my grandmother, Delores Carter Bridges, and my mother, Kimberly Bridges, dedicated their careers to Hartford Public Schools. My grandmother served as a paraeducator for over 30 years, and my mother has worked as a Hartford Schools SSO, Catholic Charities and is now a valued community partner. Their legacy of dedication to education inspires my commitment to fostering a nurturing, equitable, and high-achieving learning environment.
With over a decade and a half of experience in education, I have served as an assistant principal at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School and Global Communications Academy and have held roles as a classroom teacher, team leader, and resource teacher. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to instructional leadership, student enrichment, school improvement, attendance intervention, family engagement, and equity coaching. I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments, strengthening school-community partnerships, and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance student achievement and school climate.
Beyond my work in schools, I remain actively involved in the Hartford community, attending and supporting local events and initiatives. I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I am honored to serve and uplift the students, families, and educators of Hartford Public Schools.
