The main focus of the Family and Community Support Service Provider is to develop and strengthen the district’s relationships with children, families, and to support the Hartford Public School community school’s framework. The Family and Community Support Service Provider supports the community and monitors student attendance in the following ways: visits the homes of current or potential students; works with parents and coordinates parent access to internal and external resources; distributes important information about their assigned school and/or district; assists in the enrollment process; and keeps records of their efforts to cultivate parental interest and engagement in their children’s education. The Family and Community Support Service Providers serve to promote academic achievement for all students.
Some of the services we provide include:
*Assist families in understanding school policy , programs and provide support in PPT/SST meetings.
*Provide assistance in school uniforms and school supplies.
*Provide assistance to PTO and School Governance Council.
*Provide assistance on finding shelters and food shares for families in need.
*Provide information about extra-curricular activities and community events.
*Coordinate community resource and services for students, families and school with businesses, agencies, and other group to provide services to the community.Our primary goal is to create a positive link between Weaver High School and Our Weaver Parents and Families to encourage parent involvement and student achievement.
