While we celebrate diversity all year long at Hartford Public Schools, this month, we’re recognizing the contributions and honoring the achievements of Black Americans. Our schools are celebrating Black History Month with art projects, assemblies, performances, and conversations with the community. Global Communications Academy

IB Global Communications Academy invites you to attend their annual "African Market" on Thursday, February, 29th from 2:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. located at 85 Edwards Street, Hartford as they celebrate their Black History Month theme,  "Historic Stands".   Community entrepreneurs and artisans will showcase jewelry, textiles, authentic African clothing, paintings, books, beauty and health products, needlework, sculptures and fashionable purses and bags. At 5:30 P.M.  GCA students will perform through music, drama and dance, a  showcase called, "Journey Through Africa."
