On Monday, March 18, 2024, the University of Connecticut, in collaboration with Hartford Public Schools, featured a speaker series, Building a Sustainable Leadership Pipeline in School Districts, with Dr. Jessica Rigby from the University of Washington. Dr. Rigby is an associate professor in education policy, organization, and leadership at the College of Education at the University of Washington. She collaborates in a Research Practice Partnership to mitigate the institutional and programmatic disparities and inequalities that have shaped Black, Indigenous, and Latinx students’ experiences in school. This talk focused on what central offices can do to design and implement learning opportunities that center justice-based leadership practices for school leaders.
