Hartford Public Schools is pleased to announce that Pam Sargent from Maria Sanchez School is our 2024 ECE of the Year! On May 16th, Pam received a surprise visit, along with quite the fanfare at Maria Sanchez School, to announce the great news! Pam has been an early childhood educator for 35+ years, joining our HPS team back in 2014. Pam exemplifies dedication and a passion for early childhood education. We are lucky to have her on our team!!!
All fifteen nominees for the 2024 ECE of the Year are highly qualified early childhood educators. They bring their personal and professional commitment to this key role in our schools. The work of our ECE’s is essential to the running of our pre-k classrooms. Our ECE’s are non-certified early childhood educators inspiring and preparing all students to meet success in and beyond school.
