4th grade students at Rawson received a special surprise this week! Can'd Aid, a national nonprofit organization, donated new skateboards and helmets to every student in the 4th grade class.
The students also received lessons on skateboard safety and proper technique before trying out their new wheels in the gym. The Can'd Aid volunteers also talked to the students about the importance of staying active during the summer months and encouraged them to spend more time outside on their skateboards.
Thank you to Can'd Aid, Rawson staff, and the HPS Office of Family and Community Partnerships for providing such incredible opportunities to our students!
