The Child Abuse Prevention Month art contest was held in April for child abuse prevention month. The kids really did a great job with the theme "what makes you feel safe and loved".
The winners were chosen by open voting from parents, family, friends, and attendees at our Child Abuse Prevention Conference. There was an online platform for folks to view and vote. Grand prize for most votes was an iPad, first place winners received a $25 gift card and runners-up received a $10 gift card.
• The grand prize winner, was Litesh, grade 3 at Betances Learning Lab
• Austin, at Breakthrough Magnet, won first place for grades Prek-K
• Eila, at Noah Webster, won first place for 2nd grade
• Dhruvi, at Betances Learning Lab, won runner-up for 2nd grade
• Ty'Arabia, at Kinsella, won 1st place for grade 3
• Anaya, at Betances Learning Lab, was runner-up for grade 3
Almost half of the winners of the children's art contest we held in April for child abuse prevention month were Hartford Public School students. Their artwork is here and we hope it makes you smile. Thanks to all our contestants!
