HPS Advisory Committees

On December 17, 2024 Superintendent Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez and Deputy Superintendent of Schools and Academic Excellence Dr. Kondra Rattley joined community members as they kicked-off the HPS Advisory Committees.

Stakeholders were invited to apply to join the committees, which include School Leader Advisory, Special Education Advisory, and Teacher/Educator Advisory, in addition to a Parent/Caregiver Engagement Panel. HPS received 51 applications, and 45 stakeholders have joined us in the committees.

Committee members received an email (below) from Dr. Rattley thanking them for their interest and with information about the kick-off:

Thank you for expressing interest in serving on an HPS Advisory Committee! As a valued member of our district, your voice and perspective will be essential in helping inform district strategies for meeting the needs of students, staff, families and the communities we serve. Additionally, as a member of an Advisory Committee, your insight on various projects or initiatives may be sought out because we believe in the importance of whole community engagement in our efforts to best serve students.

Our initial committee meetings are scheduled to take place on December 17th for Administrators, Teachers, and Parent/Caregivers. The meetings will take place via Zoom and the links will be sent in a follow up calendar invite. At this meeting, you will learn more about our goals, structure, processes, and future dates for engagement before we begin the meeting cadence following the Winter Break.

We express deep gratitude for your contributions to our school communities, and we’re excited to partner with you in our journey towards excellence.

We are grateful to everyone on our committees and look forward to an excellent and fruitful collaboration. To learn more about HPS Advisory Committees, click here
