Students at Burr Middle School had the exciting opportunity to see President Joe Biden speak in Hartford on Friday, June 16.
Senator Chris Murphy invited students and staff from Burr to the Safer Communities Summit at the University of Hartford. The Burr team heard from student activists and Senator Murphy before President Biden came on stage for his keynote address. The President spoke about the importance of youth leadership and voice.
Sen. Murphy has been meeting with Burr students for roundtable discussions on various topics throughout the year. Thank you, Senator, for providing such exciting and engaging opportunities for our students!
