On February 2, 2024, newly elected East Hartford Mayor, the Honorable Connor Martin visited his alma mater, Sport and Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford. The 2009 graduate toured the building with Principal Kim Ambroise visiting classrooms, speaking with students, reuniting with his former teachers, and even taping an interview segment on the student-run Tiger Talk news show. In the video below, taped in the school's cool, new Esports studio, Mayor Martin reminisces about his time at SMSA and shares advice for current students. About Mayor Connor Martin
Connor Martin accepted the oath of office as Mayor of the Town of East Hartford on November 13, 2023. Mayor Martin was born and raised in Hartford, CT, and lives in East Hartford, CT. Prior to being elected as Mayor, he worked for the Town of East Hartford as the Chief of Staff to Mayor Mike Walsh, after completing a lengthy career at Goodwin University in East Hartford where he served as the Director of Grounds Keeping and Fleet Maintenance.
