Husky Medicaid for 13–15-year-olds will not take effect until July 1, 2024. Medicaid has pushed the date. The current ages will continue to be 0-12 until July 1, 2024. 

What is State Husky A and State Husky B?

These programs cover uninsured children (ages 0 to 12 currently, then beginning 7/1/24 ages 0 - 15) with household income between 0 to 323% of the federal poverty level.

Who is eligible?
Currently 0-12 years old & BEGINNING 7/1/24, AGES 0 - 15
Not have access to affordable insurance
Be non-citizens who do not qualify for Husky Medicaid or Husky B CHIP due to immigration status
If a child was enrolled in the program prior to age 13, they may be eligible for coverage

What do I need to sign up?
Names and date of birth of all people in the household
Proof of CT address
Household income, including frequency and source. (For verification, you can use paychecks or a letter from your employer.)
If eligible, you will be given a 90-day, post enrollment, reasonable opportunity period to send in verification document(s).
