On Friday, April 11th, 2025, Hartford Public Schools students participated in the 3rd Annual Dance and Theater Festival. This celebration of artistic expression showcased the vital role that arts education plays in student development. This collaborative event between the Hartford Public Schools' Dance and Theater Department and Hartford Performs highlighted how the performing arts provide essential opportunities for students to develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills through shared learning experiences.
Students from Kinsella Magnet School of Performing Arts, Hartford Public High School, BSTEM, Classical Magnet, and HMTCA presented their work, demonstrating how artistic expression empowers young voices and nurtures diverse talents. Theater pieces were performed in the morning, followed by student workshops in the afternoon, and dance performances to complete the day.
