On the 3rd day with a Hartford Performs workshop with a Rap Poet, students were up and dancing. As he showed them the moves and they were trying them out and perfecting them. Some students created some of their own dance moves participating in a dance battle at the end.

The first two days were spent in the classroom where Rap was tied into a math lesson. This included students determining the ratio of the cost of a microphone to the median family income in Hartford and they used fractions to fill a musical bar.
