On May 15th, ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students participated in Themed Project Portfolio Day. Our students diligently worked throughout the year on projects relating to the theme of connections.
Themed projects have encouraged our students to:
Think critically by analyzing one theme from the perspective of multiple disciplines
Think creatively by adapting their work to reflect their personality/specific content knowledge
Develop time management skills through the planning process (rough draft, revised draft, final draft)
Develop technology skills by using a variety of technological tools
Build character by reflecting on their personal development in the five key areas of the evaluation rubric
1) content knowledge and critical thinking
2) planning and collaboration
3) product and presentation
4) revision and reflection
5) growth
Clearly and confidently communicate what they have learned throughout the year to a diverse audience
