Keeping My Child Engaged During Summer Break & Awareness of McKinney Vento Act

On May 9, 2024, Hartford Public Schools Office of Family & Community Partnerships and the Welcome Center presented a webinar for families called Keeping My Child Engaged During Summer Break & Awareness of McKinney Vento Act. Facilitated by Leslie Carrillo, the HPS Homeless & Family Service Program Assistant, the webinar focused on challenges met by families and students experiencing houselessness, why it is crucial to keep students busy and engaged in the summer, and some great, no-cost summer solutions for activities and fun.
